Shopping in Bangalore – Best City to shop while Traveling

Shopping in Bangalore has always been followed by many strings – Dream city, Garden city, Silicon valley of India, Retirement Haven and most importantly the shopping destination of south.

Bangalore shopping is an assortment of street shopping, markets, plaza’s and malls. There are specific places destined for its speciality.

Brigade Road: You name it you get them here. Also has various eat outs, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. You can shop here for antique pieces and handloom textiles. There are many brand stores and you can also street shop. There are quite a few malls like Central, Garuda and Eva nearby.

MG Road: You have a lot of mixed variety stores for silk sarees, antique shops, jewellery stores and custom stores along with eateries and coffee shops. There are exhibition stalls as well which are pet up often.

Commercial Street : The perfect place for street shopping in Bangalore. All you need is a bottle of water, snacks and good bargaining skills. You can shop almost everything here, footwear, clothes, materials, jewellery, bags etc.

Dubai Plaza: It houses the Tibetan plaza as well. A nice place to shop for new designs and textures right from clothes, footwear to accessories.

Majestic: One of the most landmarked places in Bangalore. The National market, Hong Kong market and Burma bazaar are some of the places you can shop.

You need to be at your top notch when it comes to bargaining.The place where you find all class of crowds. Nearby you have the Avenue Road which sells books, basically a one stop over for all students.

Indranagar: The 100 feet road houses all the leading brand stores, so it’s a go to place for all brand fanatics. It also boasts few of the city’s finest restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and breweries.

KR Market: a must to visit early morning to see the colourful display of flowers,fruits and vegetables before they are marketed off to different parts of the city.

Chickpet: Famous for the saree stores and wholesale markets. One cannot miss the lanes and lanes of stores exclusively for sarees, materials, lehengas and jewellery. There are also imitation jewellery, semi precious stones and stores which lend out costumes and jewellery for hire.

Apart from these there is also Malleshwaram 8th cross and Jayanagar 9th block to explore for avid shoppers.
Bangalore also houses UB city which is one of Asia’s luxurious mall . There are also other malls like the Phoenix, Forum value, Orion, Mantri Mall hang out.

The city has various spots to choose from in reference to ones shopping penchant. You can get hotels for a stay of 4 nights with prices which range within your budget. Like the Park Plaza is available for Rs. 42,000. The Lemon tree premier overlooking the Ulsoor lake is available for Rs 23,369.
